Special Olympics Solent launched their all-new Boccia club on Tuesday 20th February 2018. The sessions run 13:30-14:30 at The Hub, Eastleigh.

Boccia is a globally recognised Special Olympic and Paralympic sport. The aim of the game is to propel a set of coloured balls, positioning them closer to a white ‘marker’ ball than your opponents’. The game can be played as an individual, a pair, or as a team, and must be played seated.

The new club has been launched to promote competition in the sport and gives athletes the chance to build their skills, knowledge and techniques to compete in local competitions. The Boccia sessions are open to anyone with physical and learning difficulties. We hope that the club will enable the athletes to go on to compete in national competitions.

The fee is £3 per session.
