We're proud to have Peter Hull MBE working on the team with us. Peter currently works as the Engagement Lead and is responsible for club and user engagement and our Special Olympics work. Peter tells us what fitness and activity means to him:

“Taking up swimming at an early age for physiotherapy took me on a journey to 2 Paralympics and 3 Gold medals. During this time I learnt how sport can imitate life. Firstly, you only get out of life what you put in – no one gives you success, you have to work for it. Secondly, very rarely do you achieve in life without support, whether it be a teacher, coach, colleague, friend or family. Finally, never give up on a dream. As long as you work hard, listen to those who care about you, and are prepared to make sacrifices, you can achieve anything."

Since the Paralympics, Peter has raised money for charity through completing 18 half marathons and 12 full marathons. Not only was he named one of the Times Men of the Year in 1985, but Peter’s outstanding services to disability sport were recognised with an MBE in 1991.

We hope that, like us, Peter’s dedication to sport has inspired you to reimagine your own physical limits, and push yourself to work at the sport and exercise you love – or, to find new ways to get active!
